2008 Edmonton Chill Season Review

The Chill became the first team outside the U.S to join the IBL when they signed on in October of 2007. The Chill have clearly made an impression on the local community, as 2,131 fans showed up to the MacEwan Centre to watch the season opener. The Chill won 10 straight home games to round out their home-slate, including 2 hard fought wins over the Vancouver Volcanoes to end thier season. After winning in the first round of the IBL West Division Playoffs over the heavily talented Portland Chinooks on June 27th, the Chill lost to the Bellingham Slam in the second round. The Chill finished 2008 with a respectable 13 wins to only 9 losses. |
