The Gary Steelheads hosted the IBL All-Star Game on June 12th, 2008 at the Genesis Center in Gary, Indiana. The East came out on top 140-119 over the West at the Genesis Center in Gary, Indiana. Royce Parran stole the show, finishing with game-high totals in points (30) and assists (12) and adding 11 rebounds to finish with a triple-double. |

2008 Steelheads season review

2008 Gary Steelheads (18-4) – For Steelheads' player statistics, scroll to the bottom of this page. The Steelheads came to the IBL following stints in the Continental Basketball Association (2001—2006) and the USBL (2007). The Steelheads won 9 of their final 10 games to close out their first IBL season- including a win over previously unbeaten Elkhart. Point guard Royce Parran was outstanding for the Steelheads. Parran finished with a triple-double in the 2008 IBL All-Star game en route to MVP honors, and is coming off a 49 point outing against Holland on June 20. The Steelheads completed the season with 18 wins to only 4 losses, but the Steelheads did not participate in the IBL playoffs in 2008. |
