2006 Salem Stampede Team

Salem Stampede to return in 2009
The Salem Stampede decided to sit out the 2008 season to prepare for a succesful 2009 season. Salem was one of the IBL's top teams in 2006 and 2007, and the league expects future success from the Stampede as they head into 2009 with the extra time to prepare. The Stampede went 10-10 in their first IBL season in 2006, but had a breakout second season--finishing 18-4 and winning the Southwest Division title in 2007. Notable Stampede players have included Grayson 'The Professor' Boucher, Eric Fiegi (IBL's top scorer in 2006), Antone Jarrell (IBL's single game scoring record holder at 68 points), and Jeff Dunn (IBL All-Star in '06 and '07). Joe Beccera will return in 2009 for a third year as GM & head coach for the Stampede. The 2007 Stampede team finished 18-4 with separate winning streaks of 11 and 6 games—including their final 6 games of the regular season.  Antone Jarrell had the best individual scoring performance in league history on June 23, scoring 68 points versus Central Oregon. Stampede top scorers in 2007: Blake Walker 32.1 points per game (17 games played), Antone Jarrell 25.3 (16), Mike Tabb 24.5 (15),Jeff Dunn 19.0 (17), Nick DeWitz 17.1 (12). Due to the Stampede's 18-4 record in 2007, they were allotted four All star spots in 2007 ( Blake Walker, Mike Tabb, Jeff Dunn & Antone Jarrel).
