Seattle Mountaineers organization & history

| The Seattle Mountaineers are a non-profit organization. All players, staff and other organizational personnel are Volunteers. Volunteers may receive a stipend to cover gas, food and lodging but no pay beyond reimbursements. The Mountaineers provide no insurance coverage (medical or workmans comp) for its volunteers. The Mountaineers sat out the 2008 season, but will return to the IBL in 2009. In 2 seasons, Seattle won 25 games and lost 19 games playing primarily on the road. In 2006, Rashaad Powell, Donald Watts and Aleksey Adediran were recognized as IBL All Stars. In 2007, the top scorers were Lemar Gayle 28.8 points per game (20 games played), Lynell Ingram 18.6 (20), Antoine Tisby 12.7 (15) and Aleksey Adediran 12.3 (19). LeMar Gayle was named to the 2007 IBL All-Star team. |
